As seen here, we reincarnated an old h.e.d. 3-way loudspeaker from the 1970's..
Originally, it was a massive 1-inch thick fiberboard wood cabinet with a
12" Cerwin-Vega woofer. After replacing the worn-out woofers with Pioneer
10"s and the tweeters with our own Tetrasphere omni tweeter, the resulting
phase-aligned tower takes up less space, weighs less, and has an
expanded soundscape.. With our sphere hangers, the midrange and tweeter spheres
can be positioned anywhere at any angle in order to fine-tune the soundfield.
We used a separate box for the crossover so that it can be hidden
behind the CD stand, preserving a neat appearance, yet the connects
and controls are easily accessible.. Also, it is wise to keep crossovers
isolated from the vibration of the speakers, particularly the woofer. In fact, companies have sold padded capacitors in an attempt to isolate the sensitive electronics from the shock and vibration put out by the woofer. Isolating the drivers from each other insures that each is able to respond without interference from the other.
During the acoustic engineering analysis we used our proprietary wave-map technique.. The enclosures were also custom-mated as a pair to match the acoustics of the room they are designed to
be played in. We used sterilized long-staple wool for sound-absorbing fiber fill..
Special coatings maximized enclosure wall damping.

With our technology we can make any shape or size enclosure. For example, if we wanted to, we could take the spheres and hide them inside a wing or stone shape enclosure for a more beautiful appearance.
